We gather monthly to pray and knit for the needs of those who will receive our handiwork. We knit 9” by 7” “squares” which we then fashion into prayer blankets and shawls for those in need of comfort due to illness, loss of a loved one, or support through one of life’s events. We also invite those who cannot attend our monthly gathering to knit and pray at home. Squares knitted at home are always welcome!
Experience is not required. We are happy to teach and encourage beginners.
Makko ho means looking straight forward-physically, mentally and spiritually. In addition to the four seated poses of Makko ho, we practice abdominal breathing and work to improve our posture. All ages and abilities are welcome. $15 per class or 5 sessions for $65.
Marriage Encounter encourages married couples to enhance their communication. With the support of a continuing group, couples deepen their commitment to a strong and healthy marriage while reinforcing traditional family values.
“St. Gertrude Presents” produces plays. In the production of a play, participants share the experience of working with and appreciating individuals of different temperaments, different occupations, and different talents. In this way we come to actualize Jesus’ teaching that we are many parts, but one body.
