On Sunday, October 7th, I’ll be taking part in the “Bank of America Chicago Marathon.” This will be my 19th Chicago Marathon, and my 44th Marathon overall, including three ultra-marathons (31 miles).
I’m grateful for your amazing support and encouragement over the years, and I’m looking forward to completing the 26.2 miles here in the Windy City. There is no doubt that your prayers will help me get to the finish line.
Once again, will you “run along” with me? First, by praying that God will guide my steps throughout the marathon, and secondly by making a donation to Heart to Heart?
Heart to Heart, our outreach ministry here at Saint Gertrude’s, serves senior citizens of all faiths and brings much joy to those who need loving support. 100% of the money raised goes directly to support the ministry of Heart to Heart. (Checks may be made out to St. Gertrude Church.)
If you have a special prayer intention, please see me after Mass, or email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org – or place your prayer intention in the collection basket. I will be praying for your intention as I run.
Thank you very much for your support for this run!
