Holy Week at St. Gertrude

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day at St. Gertrude, with Masses packed with parishioners and guests joining

together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

We appreciate the many people who came out for our Holy Week services or joined a Lenten faith-sharing group. Every person who comes to St. Gertrude adds blessings to our parish, whether it be through volunteering, stewardship, or the power of their prayers.

We also thank the many people who worked so hard to make Lent and Holy Week special. So many stepped up to help—our singers and musicians, our team that decorated the church, the many lectors, the Eucharistic ministers, our RCIA leaders, the teens who helped at the Masses and participated in the Living Stations of theCross on Good Friday, those who led our faith-sharing groups, and many other unsung helpers—we appreciate your time and efforts!

Great churches don’t just happen—they are created and nurtured by active, generous parishioners.

Together We are St. Gertrude.

Our 2019 R.C.I.A. Class

At the Holy Saturday Evening Vigil, we welcomed the 2019 RCIA class into our faith community.

Congratulations to Vu, Lauren, Brittany, Feruz, Rebecca, and Justin!

Thank You From Our Music Minister

I wish to extend my most hearty and sincere thank you to all of the instrumentalists and choir members who gave untold hours in practice and preparation to make our Holy Week services so spiritually moving and beautiful. For this, I am deeply appreciative. Our community is truly blessed to have an abundance of talented musicians in its presence.
