Below are resources for the 2025 Advent Season from the Catholic Climate Covenant!
"Creation Awaits with Eager Expectation"
For the first time, the Covenant is offering an Advent collection of 26 daily short prayers and reflections based on Romans 8:19 (“For creation awaits with eager expectation for the revelation of the children of God”) written by an incredibly diverse group of U.S. Catholics.
“No Room at the Inn? Advent, Migration, and Radical Welcome” Sign up for this free resource in English and Spanish.
This Advent, we remember how Mary and Joseph sought shelter, knocking until finally a door opened. Through traditions like Las Posadas and Panunuluyan, communities are reminded to embody radical hospitality, opening space for God’s presence in the stranger, the migrant, and the excluded.
“Entering the Night of Peace: Advent 2025 Reflection Guide”
Co-written by Cameron Bellm and Flora x. Tang, these poetic and thought-provoking reflections will be a welcome part of your daily prayer life during the Advent season, and can lead to rich and meaningful sharing within your prayer community.
Advent Simplicity Challenge
In a season that can mistakenly be focused on gifts and consumption, explore ways to live simply as we hopefully prepare for the coming of Jesus and the restoration of the earth.
Pray with the CRS Advent Wreath, Catholic Relief Services invites you to visit their Advent page each week of Advent to help prepare your heart for Christmas. As you light the candle of your Advent Wreath, reflect on the many gifts Jesus brings to our lives—including hope, faith, joy and peace—and on our Gospel call to share them with others to build a more just and peaceful world.
Less Hectic, More Holy Advent Workshops for Staying Centered and Sane, The Pastoral Center
Disrupting Darkness: Light, Love, and the Birth of Jesus, A JustFaith Advent Series consists of four 1-hour sessions, an optional half-day retreat, and discussion questions for an optional post-Christmas gathering. JustFaith Ministries provides all the resources and support you need to facilitate this series in your own church or community.
Candle lighting litanies and Starry Nights: An Advent Devotional Full of Light and Wonder are great for personal, family-based, and/or parish use during Advent.
Advent Conspiracy: Lifting four tents during advent:—Worship Fully, Spend Less, Give More, Love All—to guide themselves, their families, and congregations through the Christmas season.
You can find more Advent resources from SALT here.
Wishing you a Blessing Advent!
