Northside Catholic Academy

Additional Information

Northside Catholic Academy serves the parishes of St. Gertrude, St. Gregory, St. Henry, St. Ignatius, St. Jerome, and St. Margaret Mary in the neighborhoods of Andersonville, Edgewater, and Rogers Park. NCA offers a challenging, diversified curriculum within a nurturing environment for children in pre-K-8.

At NCA, we inspire our students to grow in character, intellect, and faith, while fostering a love of learning. NCA’s small class size and individual attention will help your child thrive. Yet, what’s even greater is the sense of belonging families feel when they join our community. At NCA, your child and your entire family will thrive.

Northside Catholic Academy History & Records

NCA’s tradition of providing a quality Catholic education to neighborhood children began over 100 years ago with the original six individual parish schools: St. Gertrude, St. Gregory the Great, St. Henry, St. Ignatius, St. Ita, and St. Jerome. In 1994, those six schools consolidated into what is known today as Northside Catholic Academy. Today, our regional school serves the parishes of St. Gertrude, St. Gregory, St. Henry, St. Ignatius, St. Jerome, and St. Margaret Mary, which joined NCA in 2016.

If you attended St. Gertrude Catholic School (prior to the formation of NCA in 1994) and require sacramental records for your First Communion or Confirmation, please fill out a Request for Sacramental Certificate on the Sacramental Records page of our website and send it to
